Железо является жизненно важным химическим элементом для человека, избыточное поступление которого с пищей не оказывает негативного действия, но повышенное поступление неорганических форм Fe может потенцировать развитие окислительного стресса. Повышенные концентрации Fe в питьевой воде севера Тюменской области предопределены, с одной стороны, естественными характеристиками источника природной воды, с другой стороны – повторным попаданием элемента в результате изношенности водопроводных труб. В административных центрах данного региона проводится качественная безреагентная предварительная водоподготовка, но износ водопроводных сетей в г. Ханты-Мансийске – 26,3 %, а в г. Салехарде – 82,1 %.</p><p>Целью исследования явилась сравнительная оценка содержания железа в питьевой воде гг. Ханты-Мансийска и Салехарда на основе учета превышения предельно допустимого уровня и расчета риска для здоровья.</p></sec><sec><title>Материалы и методы</title><p>Материалы и методы. В административных центрах, входящих в состав Тюменской области Ханты-Мансийского (г. Ханты-Мансийск) и Ямало-Ненецкого (г. Салехард) автономных округов, спектрофотометрическим методом определяли концентрацию Fe в питьевой воде (50 анализов из каждого города). Результаты оценивали согласно СанПиН 1.2.3685–21 «Гигиенические нормативы и требования к обеспечению безопасности и (или) безвредности для человека факторов среды обитания», Постановлению Главного государственного санитарного врача РФ от 28.01.2021 № 3. Оценку риска развития неканцерогенных эффектов проводили согласно данным Руководства по оценке риска для здоровья населения при воздействии химических веществ, загрязняющих окружающую среду Р 2.1.10.1920–04.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. Установлены достоверно более низкие показатели концентрации Fe в питьевой воде Ханты-Мансийска сравнительно с Салехардом (р = 0,002). Анализ содержания Fe в отдельных пробах водопроводной питьевой воды выявил повышенное содержание Fe в 10 % проб в Ханты-Мансийске и в 66 % – в Салехарде. Вычисление возможного риска отклонений от нормы показал его отсутствие в Ханты-Мансийске: коэффициент опасности (HQ) = 0,73 (норма – HQ &lt; 1,0) и превышение в 1,5 раза в Салехарде: HQ = 1,52.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. С целью снабжения жителей питьевой водой оптимального качества необходимо проведение мероприятий: замена устаревших разводящих сетей; организация и обеспечение надлежащего производственного контроля качества воды; постоянное проведение мониторинга за ходом реализации регионального целевого проекта «Чистая вода», оценка его результативности и эффективности.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Background</title><p>Background: Introduction: Iron is an essential mineral for humans. Its excessive dietary intake has no adverse health effects but high exposure to inorganic iron can induce oxidative stress. Increased Fe concentrations in tap water in the north of the Tyumen Region are attributed, on the one hand, to natural characteristics of its source and, on the other hand, to iron released by deteriorated water pipes. In the administrative centers of this region, high-quality reagent-free water treatment is carried out but tap water quality is largely influenced by the condition of water supply networks with the wear indicators of 26.3 % and 82.1 %, in the cities of Khanty-Mansiysk and Salekhard, respectively.</p></sec><sec><title>Objective</title><p>Objective: To compare iron contents in tap water in Khanty-Mansiysk and Salekhard against its maximum permissible concentration and to assess health risks from exposure to this mineral in drinking water.</p></sec><sec><title>Materials and methods</title><p>Materials and methods: Fifty tap water samples were taken in each of the two administrative centers of the Tyumen Region (Khanty-Mansiysk, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District – Yugra, and Salekhard, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District) for a spectrophotometric analysis of iron. The results were evaluated according to regulations SanPiN 1.2.3685–21, Hygienic standards and requirements for ensuring safety and/or harmlessness of environmental factors to humans, introduced by Decree No. 3 of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation of January 28, 2021. Non-carcinogenic risks were assessed in accordance with Guidelines R 2.1.10.1920–04, Human health risk assessment from environmental chemicals.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results: Iron levels in tap water were found to be significantly lower in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk compared to Salekhard (p = 0.002) with excessive Fe concentrations established in 10 % and 66 % of the samples taken in those cities, respectively. Accordingly, the Fe-related hazard quotient in Khanty-Mansiysk was almost twice as low (0.73) as in Salekhard (1.52) indicating increased likelihood of a toxicological response to the chemical in the latter.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusions</title><p>Conclusions: In order to supply residents with drinking water of optimal quality and reduce potential health risks, it is necessary to replace worn out distribution networks, organize and ensure proper monitoring of water quality, duly implement the Regional Clean Water Project and assess its effectiveness.</p></sec></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>север Тюменской области</kwd><kwd>водопроводная вода</kwd><kwd>износ водопроводных сетей</kwd><kwd>неканцерогенные риски развития патологий</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>north of the Tyumen Region</kwd><kwd>tap water</kwd><kwd>deterioration of water supply networks</kwd><kwd>non-carcinogenic risks</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Корчин В.И., Корчина Т.Я., Терникова Е.М., Бикбулатова Л.Н., Лапенко В.В.
